School Spotlight: Bethlehem Lutheran School, Carson City (NV)

Bethlehem Lutheran Church was incorporated in 1959 in the heart of Carson City, Nevada. Bethlehem Lutheran School was started in 1980 and currently has an enrollment of 141 students in Preschool through 8th grade. The experienced staff is led by Principal Debbie Winkelman, who has been at Bethlehem since 1998 – first as a teacher, then in 2023 as principal. Debbie partners with Pastor Jed Maschke, who has been pastor at Bethlehem since 2016. Lonnie Kargas will retire at the end of this school year. Bethlehem is the only Lutheran elementary school in Northern Nevada and continues to be a solid ministry in the Carson Valley!
