School Spotlight: Trinity Lutheran Preschool, Gardnerville (NV)

Trinity Lutheran Church (https://www.trinitylutherankids.com) is the oldest Lutheran church in Nevada dating back to it establishment in 1895. The preschool was added in 1983 and currently has an enrollment of 105 children. This includes 18 staff who are teaching toddlers (18 months) up to Transitional Kindergarten students. The center also includes a before and after school care program that currently has 18 enrolled. Trinity’s pastor, Jonathan Zoch has been at Trinity since 2024, and the preschool director, Samantha Teirney has been part of the preschool since 2013 and director since 2024. The preschool has a quality program, demonstrated by the fact that they are recognized as a 4-star preschool by the Nevada Department of Education Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS). This system recognizes preschools who are involved in helping advance early childhood programs in Nevada and have the highest quality programs that are held up as examples for other centers.
