2026 CNH Church Worker Wellness Initiative

Pastor Dayton Dangel Installed at Trinity, Redding
Pastor Dayton Dangel was installed at Trinity Redding, July 12. Pastor Dangel will be serving alongside Pastor Brian Cummins for the rest of the year. He was given his call from Concordia, St. Louis earlier this year. We thank God for his arrival to the CNH District!

VBS in the CNH District I 2026
First, Concord Rainforest Falls VBS was an amazing week exploring the nature of God! Kids learned He's our Creator (even meeting a butterfly with teeth and a quetzal), and explored His nature through Bible Adventures, Sticky Scriptures, Imagination and Exploration stations, songs, and games. From Psalm 42:5, they discovered God is our safe place, building egg-drop "shell-ters" inspired by David hiding in a cave. The week wrapped up with extra dance parties on the final day! O

Healthy Living, Healthy Serving Quarter 2 Winners
Congratulations to Pastor Matt Behrens of Calvary Lutheran Church in San Lorenzo and Dwayne Clemans, Facilities Manager at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bakersfield, our Healthy Living, Healthy Serving (HLHS) Quarter 2 Wellness Challenge winners! BALYA hosts Young Lutheran Singles Gathering
On June 27, nearly 30 young adults from across California gathered at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Cupertino, CA for the Young Lutheran Singles Gathering, hosted by Bay Area Lutheran Young Adults (BALYA), an endeavor of Lutheran Church of Our Savior dedicated to fostering fellowship among young Lutheran adults. The day began with the Order of Matins from the Lutheran Service Book, centering the gathering in God's Word and prayer before participants enjoyed a full schedule
