St. John's Lutheran School Napa, CA hosts Annual Bible Presentations

In their chapel last month, St. John's Lutheran School in Napa, California had their annual Presentation of Bibles to their second graders. The next week, Children's Bibles were presented to all of the preschool students. It is a tradition at St. John's to present Bibles to second graders and preschool students at the start of each school year. Bibles are purchased and signed by church and school leaders and then given to each of the students . The intent is that the students will then use the Bible in class for this year and future grade levels.
For the preschool students, the school asks congregation members to sponsor a student by purchasing one of the Bibles. At the end of a church service, the Bibles are made available in the back of the church and individuals can come back and make a donations for the price of the Bible and then write a little note to the student on the inside cover. For the past several years the these Bibles sell out very quickly. This is intended to not only put the Word of God in the hands of the students but also in their homes as well!
