Sierra Lutheran High School is Building for the Future

Sierra Lutheran High School is in a building phase as they grow their ministry in the Carson City, Nevada area. They are building two additional wings to their facility. One building is a multi-purpose building designed to accommodate over 400 for a cafeteria, worship, and meeting facility. The other building is a large two-story facility that will house six classrooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, various collaboration rooms, gathering areas, and even a room that is designed with an Igloo immersive space. The immersive space like stepping in a giant virtual reality headset – only it is a room where a whole group can be inside and share the experience at the same time. The building phase is in the final weeks of completion. The construction has been blessed by a lot of hard work by many in the school community and is being shepherded by a great project manager, Doug Treganown (see picture of Head of School Micah Glenn and Doug Treganown). Doug is not only a great contractor, but he is also a former teacher, which helps to give him a unique perspective. The school hopes to have a dedication and grand opening later this spring. Sierra Lutheran High School currently has an enrollment of 165 and with the new facilities will be able to accommodate 250 students.
