Below are links with important information about the upcoming LCMS Convention, which will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, AZ, July 18 – 23, 2026.
Saturday, February 28, 2026, is the deadline for submitting overtures (proposed resolutions) to the 2026 Synod Convention. (While the above is the official deadline, the Secretary’s Office encourages submission of reports and overtures by February 1, 2026, to facilitate their inclusion in the 2026 Convention Workbook.)
President and First Vice-President Nomination Information
Nominations for President, First Vice-President and the five regional vice-presidents of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod are submitted exclusively by the member congregations of the Synod. For information, please click here.
Each congregation may nominate up to two ministers from the Synod’s roster of ordained ministers, other than specific ministry pastors, for:
President (nominate up to two)
First Vice-President (nominate up to two)
Regional Vice-President in the Congregation’s Region (nominate up to two; must be resident in the congregation’s region at the time of nomination and throughout service)
