Julia Newkirk earns NADCE Recognition

Congrats to Julia Newkirk of St. Matthew, Rocklin on her recognition as New Outstanding DCE by the National Association of Directors of Christian Education (NADCE)!

Julia graduated from Concordia University Irvine (CUI) with a Bachelor’s in Christian Education & Development. She obtained her Director of Christian Education (DCE) Certification for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in 2024. She has worked in ministry for a little over three years in a variety of roles.

This award is given to a worthy recipient who demonstrates the following:

• Strong commitment to serving the Lord

• Active in local community as well as Lutheran community

• Commitment to excellence and meeting the social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive needs of congregation members and others served

• Active Director of Christian Education in a Lutheran congregation or agency in their first 3 years of service

• Outstanding leadership through program development, effective ministry, resource development, etc.

• Active member of NADCE
