Gathering Food for Our Neighbors at Our Savior, Livermore (CA)

ree

In July, Our Savior Lutheran Ministries in Livermore partnered with the Livermore Homeless Refuge to host a successful “needs drive.” The effort was led by Theresa S., who promoted the drive through the church’s online newsletter and Sunday bulletins. Thanks to her leadership, congregation members donated essentials such as bottled water, toiletries, cereal, and canned goods.

Theresa has a deep heart for serving those in need and has been ministering to the unsheltered and vulnerable for more than 20 years. Each month, alongside fellow church members, she helps provide food for local seniors and families struggling to make ends meet. This work is especially critical in Alameda County, where one in four residents faces food insecurity.

While many local organizations are dedicated to feeding those in need, their success depends on faithful volunteers. We give thanks to God for providing both the helping hands and the generous food donations that make this ministry possible.
