CTS Music Summer Organ Workshops: On the Road

For over 30 years, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), has hosted a series of summer workshops for church organists to hone their skills and improve their playing. In summer 2026, construction in Kramer Chapel to replace windows in the chancel and skylight will make the building unavailable for our typical weeklong workshops.

Instead, CTSFW is taking workshops on the road to churches around the country in a series of one-day Saturday workshops. The structure will be more condensed and the format a bit different, but the education and focus remains the same. These workshops are designed for church organists and pianists at every level to improve their playing in order to help lead the song of the church in liturgy and hymns.

Each workshop costs $75 per participant, which includes materials and lunch.

CTS Continuing Education Opportunity: "Pastoral Care in Cases of Divorce and Remarriage"

Issues of divorce and remarriage often beset pastors who try to remain faithful to God’s

Word and yet are not always sure how to apply Scriptural principles to the messy situations

of people’s lives. This class will examine divorce and remarriage, bringing the insights of

Biblical exegetes, the Reformers, and Lutheran Orthodoxy into conversation with

contemporary situations.

Topics include: What is marriage? What is divorce? Fornication and malicious desertion. The difficult issues: How far should “desertion” be stretched?
