Celebrating the Installation of Rev. Dallas Dubke at Our Redeemer, Honolulu

ree

On a beautiful Sunday in Honolulu, members and friends of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church gathered to celebrate the installation of Rev. Dallas Dubke as their new Transitional Interim Pastor. The service was filled with joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of God’s guiding hand. Pastors from across the Hawai‘i Circuit, including those serving on O‘ahu and the Big Island, joined together to represent the broader fellowship of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and to pray God’s blessing over Pastor Dubke and the congregation.

So what exactly does a Transitional Interim Pastor (TIM) do?

TIM pastors are specially trained leaders within the LCMS who step into congregations during seasons of pastoral transition—those sometimes-anxious moments between a pastor’s departure and a new pastor’s arrival. With years of parish ministry experience, these pastors serve as trusted guides, helping congregations reflect on their history, clarify their mission, strengthen their leadership, and prepare for the future God has in store.

They are exceptional listeners and encouragers—ready to hear the stories of God’s people, to walk alongside lay leaders, and to champion mission opportunities unique to each congregation’s context. Often serving far from home and family, TIM pastors embody a servant-hearted commitment to helping congregations move forward in faith and unity.

With appreciation and anticipation, the people of Our Redeemer say:

Aloha, Pastor Dubke! Welcome to Honolulu!
