2026 Joint Meeting of School Leadership

On September 25, CNH principals, ECE directors, and school pastors gathered at the CNH District Ministry Center for the annual Joint Meeting of School Leaders. This year’s workshop, “Lutheran Identity in the Relationships of School Life,” was led by Rev. Jonathan Priest, director of the Mission Training Center.

This annual gathering brings pastors and school administrators together to explore how they can work collaboratively to share the Gospel through Lutheran school ministries. The presentation and discussion focused specifically on how our Lutheran identity and theology are reflected in the culture and relationships within our schools. Participants considered an important question: What distinguishes Lutheran schools—even from other Christian schools—in the ways we teach, work alongside fellow staff members, care for students, and partner with families?

This is an especially important conversation as our schools seek to faithfully live out the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, allowing our identity in Christ to shape not only what we teach, but also how we serve, lead, and relate to one another.
