CNH District Educator of the Year – Bethany Bogle

The 2025 Educator of the Year for the CNH District is Mrs. Bethany Bogle. Bethany is the only Called teacher on her faculty, and she carries the sacred responsibility of ensuring the youngest students build a strong faith foundation rooted in the truth that we are saved by grace through Jesus Christ. In her 11 years at St. Paul Lutheran School in Merced, California teaching kindergarten, she has combined academic excellence with daily faith formation, helping children see that learning itself is a gift from God. Her passion for teaching is evident in all she does for her students, the staff, and the school. Beyond her excellent example as a Lutheran teacher, Bethany also filled in as an interim principal in 2023. Bethany Bogel’s joyful witness, tireless service, and Christ-centered leadership embody the very heart of Lutheran education and ministry.

CNH District Early Childhood Educator of the Year – Doris Angel

The 2025 Early Childhood Educator of the Year for the CNH District is Mrs. Doris Angel. Doris has been working in the early childhood education field for over 46 years. She has been a director and mentor at Peace Lutheran Preschool in Arroyo Grande, California since 2019. Throughout her career, she has not only taught countless students but has also devoted her life to mentoring and guiding others. Doris serves with the same loving grace and peace that God has shown her, reflecting it back to everyone she meets. She doesn’t just teach – she leaves a lasting mark on every heart and mind she touches. At Peace, she is affectionately known simply as “Angel” by families, teachers, and students alike, since she truly embodies that name. Doris’ exuberance and “bubbly” personality is infectious, demonstrating her joy in the Lord! She is not there for personal gain, but to share the true love of Christ with everyone she encounters. This is more than a job for Doris – it is her calling, her ministry, and her God-given vocation!
