1 in Every One: Building Relationships in your Community

To build relationships in the community by providing for a financial need, St. Mark Lutheran Church, Santa Rosa started a laundromat ministry last month.

Pastor Gary Gerloff said, "The plan is for people to experience just how easy it is to respond to needs in our community and how to love others. The washing machines cost $12 for large, $6.25 for medium, and $3 for small. Dryers cost $0.25/7 minutes. We started with $80, paid for people’s laundry for 2 hours, and ended with $40 for the following week. We saw around 80 people (many were families). Some of the people we met gave us money to pay for other people’s laundry. It reminded me of the 5 loaves and 2 fish."
