Congratulations to Micah Glenn, Executive Director at Sierra Lutheran High School in Carson City, Nevada! Micah just completed certification in Principal 360, an intensive 11-month leadership development program, operated by the Chicagoland Lutheran Education Foundation (CLEF). This program develops and equips Lutheran school administrators in specific skills that help them develop school leadership skills and extensive training to craft and implement a customized, comprehensive strategic plan for their school.
Micah Glenn shared the following thoughts about going through the Principal 360 program:
Over the last eleven months, I have had the tremendous privilege of participating in the Principal 360 program, an experience that has shaped me both personally and professionally in ways I could not have imagined. When I began this journey, I hoped it would strengthen my leadership. What I didn’t expect was how profoundly it would impact my confidence, my vision, and my heart for serving the Sierra Lutheran High School community. One of the greatest blessings of Principal 360 was the opportunity to build relationships with fellow Lutheran school administrators from across the country. These men and women, all faithful and dedicated leaders in Christ-centered schools, became colleagues I could learn from, lean on, and grow alongside. Their insights and encouragement created a support network that I know will last well beyond this program. I was also blessed with the guidance of my mentor, Albert Ameling, whose experience and wisdom have been invaluable. His leadership, patience, and intentional support helped me better understand how to navigate challenges, steward opportunities, and shepherd a school with both conviction and compassion in a way that is natural to the gifts and talents that God has blessed me with. His influence is one of the greatest gifts God has placed in my path this year. Through this program, I was able to focus intentionally on long-term strategy, ultimately crafting a strategic plan designed to guide Sierra Lutheran High School into a faithful and thriving future. The time, structure, and mentorship provided by Principal 360 allowed me to step back from the daily whirlwind and consider how God is calling SLHS to grow, serve, and flourish in the years ahead. In every sense, Principal 360 has been one of the most incredible professional experiences I have ever had, and one of the best decisions I’ve made in my development as a leader. I am profoundly grateful for the confidence it has helped cultivate in me, the relationships it has strengthened, and the vision it has helped shape for our school. God has used this program to grow me, and I pray that growth continues to bless the Sierra Lutheran community that I am so honored to serve.
