Kingdom Talk
We are all called to be in the mission field, but there are real and perceived roadblocks to getting started. What are my strengths? What are my interests? Am I experienced enough to serve?
Instead of trying to answer those questions before getting started, what if we followed one simple edict:
Say Yes to God.
As much as we like to think we know what our life plan looks like, the truth is only God knows that and it doesn’t always align with where we think we are headed.
Recently I had a conversation with someone who was starting to serve in church. She had an idea what she wanted to do, but ended up doing something different. By saying yes, she learned about God given skills she didn’t know she possessed. In turn, her passion grew to learn about God’s heart and plan in her life.
What does that mean for you and/or your church?
It may mean revitalizing a ministry that has grown stale, starting a new ministry that is needed in your community or personally stepping out into an unfamiliar arena.
Whatever the call is for you, the response is clear and concise.
Say Yes to God.
